Buon' Amici Wine Club
Way back in 1987, the brothers Perata began a winery. It was based on two principles: grow great grapes; and barrel big wines. They started very small, using only the fruit from their own vines planted in 1980. Their friends liked the wine. Their friends' friends liked the wine. The brothers added a few new barrels every year. The winery grew, their circle of friends grew. It was great.

Then, a small cloud. Sometimes, even with 2,000 cases made each year, there were some wines produced that were gone like a rainbow before our friends had a chance to see them. Ah, to make widgets, to crank out more and more! But no, not their way. Make what the vineyard gives you. Cherish your friends, enjoy your wines. See what the next vintage holds.

We have been fortunate that our style of winemaking has been supported by our friends: low tonnage vines, extensive use of oak, long barrel and bottle aging, superior cork. All adds up to intense wines although an expensive way to produce them. Our good luck has been that our friends permit us to do this without an advertising budget.

And, therefore, we are delighted to offer to our good friends, our Buon' Amici, a wine club. One that will:

  •   Ship new releases first to our Buon' Amici. Automatic shipments will continue until cancelled.
  •   Give a 25% discount from retail. 
  •   Ship red wines only. Receive our selection of 6 bottles twice a year (spring and fall). We ask that you receive at least 2 shipments.
  •   Wine club shipments retail value will be approximate $282 per shipment; you will be charged approximately $174 plus tax and shipment charges.
  •   Provide tasting notes with food pairing suggestions
  •   Notify you of our annual winemakers' dinner
  •   Invite you to a Buon' Amici only tasting
We currently produce fourteen different wines, ten varietals, three blends and a special Riserva Cabernet Sauvignon. The wines are pre-released to the wine club since our production is very limited and the wines may sell out before release to the general public. The number of wines released each year varies. During drought conditions, we make fewer wines, usually eliminating a blend. While other years the vintage may give us a exceptional crop or an experiment in the vineyard yields spectacular results in the winery or our daughters try something new. These special circumstances give us a few special bottles, which we make available only to the wine club.

We invite you to join us. Receive our selection of 6 bottles, twice a year, charged to your credit card. Any additional purchases will be 25% less than the full retail value. By enrolling in the club you promise that you will receive at least two shipments before requesting a cancellation.
